One big challenge for people who are considering working for a startup, are thinking about starting their own company, or have recently started a company is to see what startups exist in their area and to learn more about them. To help facilitate this the Area Startups team has integrated a number of existing data sources including Crunchbase, Compete, Quantcast and many more to create a central hub for each major startup area across North America and Europe.

To help provide an additional depth of understand about these startups we track each company's progress on a monthly basis and publish a report of the top 100 companies in each area we cover called the Startup Tracker Top 100. Over time what we are hoping this will help do is show how each company is growing in comparison to other startups in their geographic area as well as the startup community as a whole.

In the future we hope to expand the scope of the services that Area Startups is able to provide to its site visitors to not only learn about startups companies and the job opportunities they offer, but to better engage with them and help contribue to their success.
